Gibbs have been well-established traders in ferrous and non-ferrous metals for over 50 years. The business was in need of modernisation due to rapid growth and increasing interest from members of the public for the recycling of scrap metal.

Back in the Studio, shooting test shots for a model agency,

I met up with Nickie to feature her in my on-going wild swimmer photographic series. Nickie recently succeeded in taking part in her 2nd Channel relay swim, braving the rough seas between Dover and France. In between her training sessions down in Dover Harbour, Nickie enjoys wild swims whenever she comes across a great swimming spot!

Since my Father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at an early age, I did everything I could do to find out about the disease, its symptoms and the effect it has on everyday life. My interest grew and led me to discover that many people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s at an early age. As a photographer, I realise how the power of an image can reach an audience. I wanted to raise awareness about the early onset of Parkinson’s and portray how these remarkable people live with it. Meeting with the individual at home in their own environment, talking to them and learning about their lives, enables me to capture their portrait along with their true identity. What is so amazing, is that everyone I have had the pleasure to meet and photograph, have been inspiring beyond words.

A new series of images featuring Jenny, who during lockdown enjoyed swimming at her local Nature Reserve, allowing her to travel for her daily exercise and enjoy the benefits of cold water swimming. The interesting thing about wild swimming is often getting back and forth from the location, with a heavy snow fall the day before, it made for a challenging walk to reach the water. With the snow and the morning light shinning through the railway arches, this set the scene for the photo ‘s.

Working for regular client, Smudge Stationary, shooting both the product range and lifestyle images to launch their latest range of products. Together with Fresh Lemon Design Agency, we wanted to present the products in their full entirety and demonstrate how they can be used.

Shooting the latest collection for CW Dixey & Sons, I took a series of images on the street of London, this one was taken just off Carnaby street, made for a great backdrop.

It’s always nice to return and take a new series of updated profile shots of the staff, this time we went for the more natural approach using the available light and interior setting to create a series of natural portrait to tie in with the new upcoming Website.

“I just want to raise awareness that the condition affects younger people,” he says. “The people I’ve met have all coped really well with the illness.”

I have worked with Nim Design for many years now and Nim invited me to come along and shoot individual portraits of him and his team for their website and publications.

For several years, I have been commissioned by the design agency, Designhouse for various photographic jobs. They then decided to evolve their brand, redefine their proposition and needed their new image to reflect these changes. They invited me to take on the task of producing photographs to accompany this new branding. I really enjoyed working to a brief which aimed to capture the dynamics of the company including portraits of the design team and the working environment.

For quite a few years now, I have produced images for the charity Become. I really enjoy working for this well-established charity - my last shoot involved using the streets of Angel & Islington to form backgrounds to the portraits.
