Robert Gibbs' site is based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.

London & Quadrant - Apprenticeship

With the growth of L&Q, there is plenty of new properties being built and one of these developments is on the old Walthamstow Dogs racing course! The task in hand was to photograph several new female apprentices who are making the leap into the construction world!

Anthony Nolan - Deborah Harkins Story

"Saving the lives of people with blood cancer"

I was commissioned by the Anthony Nolan charity to shoot future case studies and events for their upcoming online and off line publications. This particular shoot had taken place in Dudley, where I met the amazing Deborah who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. She has undertaken several treatments and is currently participating in a clinical trial to help the future of Blood Cancer!

Next Steps - New Website

Near the end of last year, I was commissioned by Next Steps Community Care, who are an independent care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, challenging behaviour, mental health needs and physical disabilities. It was a privilege photographing such wonderful people and being able to spend time with them and to shoot a range of new images for their forthcoming website.

L & Q - For the love of a mother

Working on behalf of London & Quadrant,  I had the opportunity of meeting Annie who has recently published a book about her life growing up in Northern Ireland during the troubled times.  The story behind the shoot was to capture Annie relaxed within her home and at the same time featuring her book. It was interesting to learn and hear her talk about her upbringing in Northern Ireland and to understand the person behind her story.

The Hepatitis C Trust’s fundraising arm, Art on a Postcard will transform into Photography on a Postcard for the month of October. We plan to replicate the success we’ve had in the art world with photography and held an open call for upcoming talent to show alongside Wolfgang Tillmans, Martin Parr, Dougie Wallace, Edmund Clark, Tom Hunter, Simon Norfolk, Chris Steele Perkins, Jenny Lewis, Homer Sykes, Eleanor Macnair, David Hoffman and many many more well known and loved photographers.

The public will be able to purchase a ticket guaranteeing them a photograph, although they won’t know which card they have won until the show closes. The winners will be drawn using a computerised random number generator on Monday 30 October.  Each photograph will be an edition of one and will come with a signed certificate of authenticity.

The photographs will be on display at theprintspace, Shoreditch from 12th – 24th October, with a Private View taking place at 7:30pm on 12th October. All the money raised will go to The Hepatitis C Trust’s campaign to eliminate hepatitis C from the UK by the year 2030.

Nordoff Robbins 2017

Now in my forth year producing images for the Nordoff Robbins' Annual Report, the images are also well used throughout offline and online publications with new branding by Sherry Design ( With a new brief this year which focuses on the individual playing an instrument, the images also create an ambience on the site.

It's always interesting to see how branding and images come together and rewarding to see my work featured on several of the new publications below.

London & Quadrant Housing Association

One of my regular clients, unlike the usual case study photo shoots for their Homelife Magazine. This was I shoot for the upcoming merge with the East Thames Group. The images were used for a recent conference, as large 6m banners with a statement saying how staff are looking forward to the new merge.  The visual board had been put in post production and works well as part of a series.

I have included a few behind the scene shots form Cherry Duck Studios in Wapping, London. A great studio and good facilities. You can see these shots at
